Hi, I’m Dr Cecilia
I’m a counsellor who loves people, and my purpose is creating a space for others to discover theirs. My own life has never been a straight line. I’m a mother, a singer and a linguist: I trained in opera, recorded three albums, and earned a PhD in Afrikaans and Dutch. I taught and did counselling in Johannesburg schools for many years before counselling young people on the other side of the world in Vietnam. Every turn taught me that the detours often matter most.
I’m an HPCSA Registered Counsellor and career guidance practitioner with more than 18 years of experience supporting children, teenagers, families and adults, in South African schools and, most recently, at an international school in Hanoi, Vietnam.
I believe you are the expert on your own life. Through a solution-focused approach, we look forward rather than back, and you create the pathways that fit who you are. I’m there alongside you. Your future, your choice.
Together with my daughter Carla, I started CreatU because there is no single right path, only the one that is truly yours. I work in English and Afrikaans, online and in person.
